You Made A Difference For Allison

One of the 2019 Children’s Miracle Network Champions knows just how important Cincinnati Children’s is for kids and families. She’s been a part of the Cincinnati Children’s family since she was six year’s old. Watch Allison’s special thank you message she recorded for Children’s Miracle Network Partners like you.

More About Allison

Allison has polycystic kidney disease, which can regularly cause headaches, high blood pressure and abdominal pain. This requires the care of nephrologists for the rest of her life. It is highly likely Allison will need a kidney transplant as an adult, because there is no cure for the disorder.

But Allison’s world includes so much beyond her disease. This polite, well-spoken teenager is well-versed on issues involving equality. Allison is transgender and proudly marched with the Cincinnati Children’s Transgender Clinic and clinic families in the Cincinnati Pride Parade. She plans to go to college and study creative writing so she can share even more stories with the world.
