Step up to help kids during Ace Hardware Bucket Days August 2-4!

Ace customers like the reward of transformation. The ability to build, create and improve. That’s
why the helpful place makes it easy to create lasting change, including how Cincinnati Children’s, a member hospital of Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, cares for kids.

Each year, more kids need the custom care that only children’s hospitals provide. Children’s
hospitals are on the frontlines when it comes to protecting the health of future generations. But
they can’t do it alone.

When you step up to help kids and buy a miracle bucket at Ace Hardware, for five dollars, that
donation goes to the local member hospital, Cicinnati Children’s, unlocking a world of
possibilities. Allowing children the opportunity to lead healthy, fulfilling lives while also fostering
the builders and creators of tomorrow.

Patients like Nora. At sixteen weeks pregnant, Nora’s mom received news that one of her two twins had a heart defect. In Cincinnati Children’s Hospital’s Fetal Heart Clinic, they diagnosed Nora with Tetralogy of Fallot. When she was born, her family was planning her open-heart surgery, while also navigating her Down syndrome diagnosis. By seven months, she was big enough for her heart surgery, which was a tremendous success. Since then, Nora’s family has worked with specialists and participated in research opportunities on how to measure outcomes and change in the development of individuals with Down syndrome. Even though Nora struggles with sleep apnea and has trouble with standardized testing, she rolls with the punches. She loves attention and the care at CCHMC. Her family sees a great future where Nora can live as an independent adult who engages with and gives back to her community.

Together, we see what the future can be and are working to make it a reality. Because when we change kids’ health, we change the future – for all of us
