Give Back with Wawa this April!

Cincinnati Children’s is excited to welcome Wawa to the Cincinnati Region on Wednesday, April 16th with its grand opening of the first Wawa store in the state of Ohio, launching their expansion into the Midwest! Located in Butler County at 7198 Cincinnati Dayton Road, Liberty Township, Ohio, this location is the first of 8-10 Wawa stores slated to open in Ohio by year’s end and will offer the community fresh food, beverages, convenience, fuel and more!

Not only does this date mark the retailer’s entrance into its tenth state, but it coincides with the founding date of the first Wawa store that opened on April 16, 1964 in Delaware County, PA. Fondly known as “Wawa Day,” by associates and customers, the retailer will toast its new friends and neighbors in Liberty Township, Ohio, as well as across its 1,100 locations with festivities to celebrate entrance to the Midwest and thank everyone for decades of support!

As Wawa gears up for its big day, they will be celebrating by giving back through their partnership with Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals, benefitting Cincinnati Children’s locally! From April 7th-May 25th, 2025, you can make a donation of $1, $3, $5 or more at the register to benefit the patients and families of Cincinnati Children’s. To kickstart this fundraising effort, The Wawa Foundation will also be making an initial contribution to inspire those in the community to contribute to the cause with a $5,000 donation to Cincinnati Children’s Hospital!

Thank you, Wawa! Visit their new location in Liberty Township from April 7th-May 25th to make a donation, or join us at the grand opening on April 16th to welcome them to the community!
