Boosterthon Team Goes the Distance for Cincinnati Children's 5K!

This past Saturday Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center held their annual community walk event, Cincinnati Walks for Kids. However, this year they picked up the pace. On top of the annual walk, the event was rebooted to include a 5K race.

The re-branded event, now called “Go the Distance for Cincinnati Children’s”, needed a few extra hands to make sure things ran smoothly. Thankfully, our friends from Boosterthon were ready to help! The Cincinnati Boosterthon team made signs, passed out water, and cheered on race participants as they raced through the course.

After the run and walk, all race day participants were invited to enjoy food, games, and entertainment. There they celebrated the over half of a million dollars that was raised for Cincinnati Children’s from this event. All proceeds from Go the Distance will benefit the life-changing—and life-saving—work of our beloved Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, one of the oldest and most distinguished in the nation.

Thank you to our friends at Boosterthon and all of the volunteers who made the event a success!
